1889

The inventor of the light bulb and phonogragh frame. His company made the peephole kinetoscope devise. This turned out to be a major marketing miscalculation.

First Movie Theater

1895

Creating illusion of motion from a series of still images. Moving pictures are to fascinate anyone who wanted too watch them. The kinetoscope parlor was meant for " an audience of one".

Nickelodeon

1900

Vaudeville was quite popular during the 1900s. Vaudeville did short films to one-up their competition. So Vaudeville theaters expanded into Nickelodeon

First Narrative movie

1903

Edison and PorterCreated the first narrative film," The Great Train Robbery ". A real story that involves crosscutting between different narratives and different camera positions. It was an 12 minute movie and was considered as epic.

Nickelodeon Theater

1910

Nickelodeon theater's attracted 26 million viewer each week. The number of viewers had doubled in five years later. They made a way to insure big profits than to try to create a monopoly in an attempt to control everything.
