I feel this is one of the MOST IMPORTANT events in history because it was one more step forward in proving we are all equal. When the court made this ruling a lot of whites chose not to follow it and it caused the blacks to be very angry.

It made it so that people couldn't be discriminated against when applying to a job, going to school, or anything else. Reagan wants school to be 7 hour days, 200-220 days a year. He also states that salary needs to be more competitive for teachers. I feel this is MOST IMPORTANT because it states that our country needs help! Too many adults are still illiterate and we need to improve our school if we want our country to succeed in the long run.

Bush: All states must develop standards for what every child should learn and know in Math and Reading, 95% of students grade 3-8 will be tested yearly. I feel this is a MOST IMPORTANT event in history because it is important that there are regulations to what students are being taught. Kids move states and schools through out their schooling life and it is important that students are on the same page with what is being taught.
