The first was a pottery bowl that was from Iran and it was a goat jumping up eatting a plant. -
Winsor McCay
Winsor McCay was an American Animator born on September 26,1869 and his best work was Gertie the Dinosaur. He was also a cartoonist and created 10 animated films between 1911 and 1921. -
Pat Sullivan
Peter "Pat" Sullivan was an Australian Animator that animated Felix the Cat. Felix the Cat was a silent animation and became popular in the 1920s. Sullivan wanted to add sound to Felix the Cat, but he died before getting it to work. Felix the Cat impacted animation because the character continued to be in films. -
Walt Disney
Walter Elias Disney was a famous animator known for creating Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. He was referred to as Walt Disney or Mickey Mouse sometimes. -

Gertie the Dinosaur (created by Winsor McCay) was important because it is widely known as the earliest animated film. This was the first animation that used animation techniques like keyframes, animation loops and more. This impacted the next generation of animators like Walt Disney. -
