  • 1 BCE

    the birth of jesus

    about 2,000 years ago an angle named Gabriel told a young Jewish woman named Mary that she was going tho have a baby named Jesus.
  • The first car

    Henry ford invented the first car ever in history. even though it is a lot different than the one we have now back then it was driven by steam and not gas. it would have been hard to see through all of the steam.
  • declaration of independence

    The declaration of independence was basically the birth of the United States of America. have you ever herd the saying "put your john Hancock here" he/she probably meant to sign your name. I know i have heard it a bunch of times.
  • the Louisiana purchase

    the Louisiana purchase
    The Louisiana purchase nearly doubled the size of the original 13 states. when the french closed down the New Orlands port to the Mississippi river no body could trade goods with New York or Pennsylvania. the Mississippi river was a major trade route all over the colony. so the U.S. offered a deal to France to buy the state of Louisiana but instead they offered the whole plains. this was historically significant because, now the U.S. is in full control of the Mississippi river.
  • Lewis and Clark's journey west

    in 1804 Lewis and Clark made history. they were the first american people to reach the pacific ocean.
  • California gold rush

    1/24/1848-1855
    on this date James W. Marshall discovered gold at shutters mill in Coloma, California. as soon as the word got out it triggered one of the largest american immigration's of united states history.
  • The battle of Gettysburg

    The battle of Gettysburg was one of the most important battles of the civil war. although it only lasted 4 days it had a huge effect on the civil war. President Abraham Lincoln was President at the time and was going through a lot of stress with his own country fight against each other. the war was trigger when the north wanted to end slavery as the south did not.
  • WW1

    world war one started in Europe over 70 million people died in this war it very devastating. it is hard to believe that it was only just over 100 years ago.
  • WW2

    would war 2 included more than 30 counties killing more than 50 million military personnel and civilians. it was the most wide spread and deadliness war in history. THATS A LOT.
  • the Vietnam war

    The Vietnam war was a war between north Vietnam and south Vietnam. The north had the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies on their side, and the south had the United States, Philippines and other anti-communist allies on their side. after a while of fight the north signed a peace treaty (surrendering to the south) the south won the Vietnam war.
  • moon landing

    September 13, 1959
    "One small step for man,one giant leap for mankind" maybe you heard this saying somewhere. Neal Armstrong was the first man to step on the moon when he did he said those very words. this date three men made true history.
  • 9/11

    On September, 11,2001, four air planes were high jacked by terrorists. two flew in the twin towers,one flew into the pentagon, and one the passengers fought back and took the plane down near Sommer set, PA. altogether almost 3,000 people died that day. The picture below is of flight 93 after impact.
  • Happy B-Day

    My Birthday was very important to me because if it did not happen i would not be here right typing this.
  • Osama bin Laden...not no more

    Osama bin Laden was one bad dude, he led a terrorist group called "Al-Qaeda" He ran the operation to fly 4 air planes into the twin towers, pentagon, and possibly the U.S. capital. but on May 2, 2011 Operation Neptune Spear took place and killed him.
