Was an American airlift gulf war. Canada helped with this war by making the planes. -

Another failed attempt with Quebec becoming not a part of Canada. Results were even closer the time with 50.6% no, 49.4% yes. -
NAFTA
Signed in 1992. The goal was each country had less tariffs on trade products. -
1995 Quebec Referendum
The start of a new party. Jean Chretien was prime minister. His new party Bloc Quebecois and him won a majority. -
Nisga’a Frist Nation Treaty
This treaty was an acknowledgment for resource rights with Nisga’a people. They now have rights to own their land. -
Creation of Nunavut
This was going to be a new territory of Canada beside Northwest Territories. Was starting to form in early 90's. -
9/11
Planes were hijacked and hit into the world trade centre. Almost 3,000 people died. -
Canada in Afghanistan
Some Canadian soldiers went to Afghanistan as part of the United States. It was after 9/11 because of the attack made Canada stay for about 12 years. -
Same-Sex Marriage
This became legal in the Civil Marriage Act. The federal law made it so several provinces could marry the same gender. -
Residential School Apology
The Canadian Government choose to apologize because of their mistake. Stephen Harper made the apology in the House of Commons. -
Vancouver Olympics
In 2010 Winter Olympics, Canada got to host it in Vancouver They had curling, hockey, snowboarding, any event held anywhere else was brought to Canada. -
Tragically Hip’s Final Concert
The last concert had to be the most special. It included more radio, television and on the internet.
