    Elizabeth I was the Monarch of England from 1558-1603. Elizabeth was a popular ruler because she was good at negotiating with Parliament. She is also know as "Good Queen Bess"

    Thomas Hobbes was an English philosopher who believed that the government should stay in charge, because the people were uncappable to take care of their own town. He wrote the Leviathan.

    -Checks and balances
    -President and legislature were elected
    -Three branches of government
    -Bill of Rights
  • Declaration of Rights was written

    The Declaration of rights of man and the Citizen was formed after the American Declaration of Independence. This declaration did not include the rights of women.

    The first ten Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.

    French Revolution

    During the French Revolution the third estate established National Assembly. The fall of Bastile happened, the Declartion of Rights of Man and the Citizen was writen, woman marched on Versailles in 1789. In 1791 Louis XVI and Marie Antonette tried to escape France, Radicals moved the Legislative Assembly to declare war on Austria, Prussia, Britain and other states, and the Constitution was finished.
