    Special Education has been on a upward spiral of the last few decades. Following are a few cases that have made a major impact.
  • Larry P v Riles( California)

    Six African American students in San Francisco felt that they were wrongfully places in a Educable Mentally Retarted (EMR) class setting. They were placed the class based on an IQ test administered by the San Francisco Unified School District. In December of 1979, a judged ruled the IQ test no longer be used to determine placement of students in SPED due to test not being validated for that purpose. Link Text
