In 1903, Milton Hershey builds his own chocoalte making factory, along with places for his workers to stay which included: homes, shops, churches, and schools. This eventually becomes Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Milton and Catherine can't have any children of their own, so they delight in making a school for orphaned boys to have a home ain and learn trades for their futures. The school opens in 1909 as Hershey Industrial SChool, now Milton Hershey School.

Catherine Hershey passes away from pneumonia, an effect of having muscular deterioration disease that caused her to eventually be numb to temperatures.
