This is when Gustav Started to begin writing music, pushing him further into the world of music -
Gustav left school and was sent to Oxford
While at oxford he learned from George Frederick Sims. From Sims he learned quite much, especially on organ playing which was Sims instrument of choice. -

This was Gustav's first "public" piano performance. He and his father performed Brahms Hungarian Dance. -

This is when he first started composing music. This helped him compose later in his life, as originally he started out by just playing other pieces of music. -

His expense only covered one year. Due to this he had decided to leave to pursue his career in music elsewhere. -

This was Gustav's first ever professional job in music. This led to his later jobs at other schools, such as Saint Paul's.
