Jamestown was the first colony to be established.They had houses they made and they biult a barrier around the colony to keep safe. Jamestown was very succesful and alot of people settled there.

Powhatan Indians and there leader attacked. They used muskets to beat off the enemy. Powhatan leader captures John Smith.

Pochahontas, leader of Powhattan's daughter, saves John Smith. She threatens the dad and he lets him go.

Years after she saves John Smith, Pocahontas gets married. She get married to John Rolfe a few months after she gets baptised into Christianity.

On September 16 1620 the pilgrims boarded the Mayflower to go to the New World. There were 102 pilgrims boarding the ship to have land.

When the Pilgrims Voyage was over and they were on land they had a feast. This feast they called Thanksgiving. People today have this every last thursday in the month of november and people make food and invite family over for usually dinner or sometimes lunch.
