    Graduated Norwood High School in 1938

    Joined the Coast Guard and worked his way up to an officer. He served in the Pacific during WW2. He ran supplies to the troops that were stationed on islands in the pacific (Not sure which ones). He once found a Japanese head floating in the ocean and they kept it aboard the ship until it started to rot.

    Graduated from Babson in 1942

    Graduated the Coast Guard academy in New London Connecticut in 1942

    Became a member of the Pearl Harbor officers club in 1944

    Started working for his uncle at T.O. Metcalf printing company in Boston

    Served until 1946 and was released on honorable discharge

    Met his wife (my grandmother) in 1950. He proposed 6 weeks later and they were married 6 months later on September 9th, 1950

    Had his 1st of 5 boys in 1952

    He had another hole in one at the Dedham Country Club in 1953. He had 4 total hole in ones during his lifetime

    The house that Grandad bought and raised my dad and his brothers in. To this day, one of my uncles still owns this house

    My grandad and grandma bought a lake house in New London NH. It became a staple in our family. My grandad and grandma went up there every summer with their kids and the net generations have carried that tradition on.

    Had his 5th of 5 boys in 1963

    While he worked his kids hard it was also really important to him to spend quality time with them so they took an RV trip to Yosemite where they spent April break and an extra week

    He received United Way of Massachusetts Bay patriot award in 1976 due to his efforts in the charity organization

    My Grandad and his sons building an addition to the New Hampshire house. He taught his kids important life skills and put them to work in order to teach hard work and discipline. He was very effective as my dad an all my uncles are very hard workers an pay attention to small details

    Retried from the printing company in 1996 at 75 years old

    Even during his later years he still made sure to get out to the golf course with his family even though he could no longer play
