When I was in first grade, My little brother was born. I helped my mom read bedtime stories to my little brother, like she did with me.

My third grade teacher, Ms. Luther read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone out loud to the class during snacktime. At that point, I did not care for Harry Potter because the book seemed confusing and hard to follow. However, that changed a few years later.

I loved horses and took horseback riding lessons for ten years. During that time, I read every horse related book I could get my hands on.

Every summer while I was in elementary school, my mom took me and my siblings to the public library once a week for storytime. Afterwards, we were each allowed to choose up to 5 books to check out.

My parents would often come to my bedroom to check on me before they went to bed and find me under the sheets with a flashlight reading a book. I guess I wasn't as sneaky as I thought I was!

My grandmother introduced me to The Black Stallion series and I quickly read all of Walter Farley's books.

My mom bought the first three books of the series for me and I fell in love. After that, I went to the midnight releases for the remaining books.

I found most of the required reading in high school, like The Great Gatsby, Romeo and Juliet, and Pride and Prejudice to be unappealing to my taste.

I have read every book at least three times and seen the all movies. I am looking forward to the premiere of the final movie in November!
