  • Industrial revolution

    During the Industrial Revolution, the economy was able to shift all of their resources to manufacturing. The industrial revolution was very important because industrialization shifted into different parts of the world, which connected each nation.
  • Invention of the airplane

    The invention of the airplane became very popular. When the airplanes were invented, it was a whole new era. Planes were used to transport goods and parcels around the globe in a shorter amount of time. It was a quicker and more simpler way of transportation. Globalization plays a role because the airplanes made trade easier and communication around the world easier and more efficient.
  • World war 1

    World War I is one of the biggest events leading up to Globalization. At the end of the war, economic ties between nations ended and the nations then began to fix the world economy. The war made European countries economy fall, which meant that the U.S. would be the biggest industrial power.
  • League of Nations

    The league of nations was created to unite nations socially, economically, and politically. The league of nations creates a sense of unity among the nations. Politically, this group was able to make sure most countries interact with one another to communicate to world leaders. The league of nations have ultimately been successful with learning from their failures and building a better foundation.
  • Great depression

    The Great Depression had a huge impact of globalization because of the huge economical downfall throughout the 1920’s. When the stock market crashed, the whole nation was affected. Although it was only the U.S. whose country was affected, the whole world economy is connected.
  • World War 2

    It was a global war that lasted 1939 to 1945. World War 2 started because of germany's unprovoked attack on Poland. Britain and France declared war on germany after they refused to abort there attack on Poland.
  • United Nations

    United Nations
    The United Nations are tasked with maintaining international peace and security. They're also tasked with building new relationships with new countries and trade partners. The United Nations was formed by some of these countries like India, United States, Brazil, Australia, United Kingdom
  • North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

    The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance between 29 North American and European countries. It was created in order to create peace among the countries. This alliance was an important factor of globalization because the countries included were able to work together and communicate throughout this alliance.
  • Invention of the internet

    In 1983 ARPANET adopted TCP/IP and started to develop a “ a network of networks” that would become the internet as we know it today. It wasn't just one person that made the internet it took the work of dozens of pioneering scientists, programmers and engineers. They wanted to help people that live far away to still have a chance to connect with each other. They also wanted news to travel faster.
  • World trade organization

    The World Trade Organization is an organization whose purpose is to promote free trade by persuading countries to abolish import tariffs and other barriers. This organization is very closely related to globalization. The job is to make sure every nations trade flows smoothly.
