    This was the start of the French and Indian War in North America. The war included the British, French, and American Indian cultures. This fort was built horribly by George Washington. He had to surrender because of where it was.

    The French built near the rivers. It was the Deleware and Shawnee Indians. It was by the Ohio River. Braddock was killed there.

    Britian decides to eliminate French presence in North America. Braddock attacked many French forts. He would lead the expidition to Fort Duquesne personally.

    The French and Indians officially declared war. The conflict started two years earlier at Fort Necessity.

    Quebec was controlling supplies into New France. When Quebec fell, New France was cut off from all supplies.

    Fighting wars was expensive and protecting colonists spread out was difficult. Many ignored the Proclamation and moved west anyway.

    France- lost Canadian possesions, most of their empire in India, and claims to lands east of the Mississippi River.
    Spain- got all French land west of the Mississippi River, New Orleans, but lost Florida to England.
    England- got all French lands in Canada, exclusive rights to Caribbean slave trade, and commercial dominace in india.
