  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act of 1764 was a substantial tax on sugar and molasses. This caused minor disruptions among the citizens because of the high use of these produce.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act of 1765, was the taxation of Stamps, because all printed material needed stamps, the prices got very high for all citizens to keep paying for stamps, making the colonists very upset.
  • The Declaratory act

    The Daclatory Act is the act that Britain formed, which stated that Britain could make laws and takes rule of the colony in all cases. This was clearly not in the colonists best interest, so they were greatly agitated.
  • Townsend Act

    The Townshend Act was the act in which Britain forced taxes on most imported goods to the American Colonies. The colonists viewed this as an abuse of power.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea act of 1773 was the tax on tea imported into the colony. The colonists were upset because thier tax on tea was profiting smugglers.
