    Born November 28, 1820, German socialist philosopher Freidrich Engels was the closest collaborator of Karl Marx and help to develop the foundation of modern communism.

    The German-French Yearbooks. Recorded as Mr. Engels first publication under his legal name this two part article contribution documented his views on scientific socialism at the time. In my opinion this marked the beginning of a quickened propulsion of Engels' ideologies. These articles foreshadowed what eventually became communism.

  • Revolutions of 1848

    Beginning in Sicily, republicans organized several failed revolts. It was during these fragile times that Engels was able to influence now dissuaded parties and implement the communist agenda. Using the newspaper whose editing power rested with Karl Marx he was able to circulate information without hindrance. The failure of the revolutions also eventually lead to the reorganization of the Communist League.
