    Heysel Stadium: A Tragedy In the 1985 European Cup Final, Liverpool were playing against Juventus at Heysel Stadium in Belgium. British soccer fans tried to force their way into the Heysel. Juventus fans tried to flee, but were caught behind a concrete wall. The fleeing fans pushed against the crumbling wall and it collapsed on the fans. 39 people died and 600+ were injured.

    Flares on the Field A UEFA Champions League playoff game between AC Milan and Inter Milan at San Siro stadium came to a stop because Inter fans shot flares and missiles onto the field. The reason is unknown because it happened very early in the game. The goalkeeper of AC Milan was hit with a flare.

    Argentinian Riot In 2007, during the match of the promotion playoff of the Nueva Chicago and Tigre, a fight started between the fans of both teams because when a penalty was sanctionaty for Tigre, who was winning the match 2-1 in the 92 minute, a penalty was given to Tigre during an injury timeout. The fans rushed onto the field and started chucking rocks and metal pipes at the players, fans and officials. The resulsts were one dead and 41 injured. Seventy-eight people were arrested.

    Egyptian Riot Soccer fans rushed the field after the home team (Al-Masry) unexpectedly won. They threw rocks, fireworks and bottles at the other fans and players. Fans also chased al-Ahly players, setting off fights and a stampede. The stampede killed at least 73 people and injured 1,000 more in the stadium Port Said.
