    Dan wins John Byers Invitational Tournament

    Jay wins his match in front of legendary wrestler Dan Gable

  • Tournament victory for Jay

    Jay wins the Mississippi Valley Conference Tournament, pinning or tech falling all of his opponents

  • Senior Night

    Jay wins his match in his last home meet of his high school career

  • Qualifying for Districts

    Jay and Dan, along with many of their teammates, qualify for the district wrestling tournament

  • Qualifying for States

    Jay and Dan, along with Dan's brother Nick and a few other teammates qualify for the State Tournament to be held in Des Moines, Iowa.

  • The State Tournament

    Jay and Dan each win their 4th state championship, and join the elite group of wrestlers with four state titles.

  • Brands goes to Iowa

    Tom Brands is offered the head coaching position at Iowa University, and takes the position. Jay and Dan, along with many other wrestlers follow Brands to Iowa, albiet losing a year of eligibility.
