    Magna Carta
    This document was cause because king John had treated his people harshly and had denied them rights. This lead to a rebbelion lead by the nobles which forced the king to sign a document that gave the people in alienable rights. This also lead to the rise of parliment and legislature which shrunk the power of the king.

    The English Parliment
    After the people the Magna Carta was signed nobles and influential people becan working more closely with the king. Soon these people becameknow as a parliment and legislature. This created a government that could pass laws and represent tye people. It also helped esablish that the parliment was more powerful then a king when parliment overthrow King James the second.

    The Virginia House of Burgesses
    The cause of this body of government was that virginia did not have any sore of representatives or leaders in America. It purpose was to establish order in the new world and a method of communication with the english parliment. This event marked the beggining of America's self governace.

    The English Bill of Rights was a law that declared the rights and liberties of the people. It also established a Constitutional Monarchy in England and influenced the U.S constitution greatly. This was important because it was one of the first documents to give people their rights.

    Was a document created and signed by the piligrims before they arvied to the new world. They wanted to establish law and order so that when they arrived they could govern themselves properly. It was also one of the first wrritin plans of government in america.

    The Enlightenment was a cultural movement around the 1600s in which individuals presented a history of limited and representative governments once they settled here. The settlers brought ideas about law, society, and the possessed rights.

    Fundemental Order's of Connecticut
    The first constitution written in the American colonies in 1639 by Puritans, The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut contained 11 laws, all of which remained the city’s Connecticut River Cities laws until 1662. These laws binded Windsor, Hartford, and Wethersfield to be governed under the same Orders.

    The cause of this revolution was that the king was taking ways his peoples rights. The purpose of the rebellion was to give all people in alienable rights. This allowed parliment to grow and prevented the rise of a dangerous king.

    When asked to make decisions on court cases judges decided to use decisions and information from previous cases. This helped establish the idea of precedenace in the court system as laws developed. This system came about out of the people's need to make sure that people abide by their contracts and laws, The purpose of this system was to bring justice to civilization.
