  • The first "food truck"

    The first food truck so to say was made by Charles Goodnight. He fitted an old U.S. Army wagon with shelves and drawers and stocked it with medical supplies, food and kitchenware.
  • Another food truck

    Walter Scott made the second food truck. Scott cut windows in a small covered wagon and sold sandwhiches, pies and coffee.

    Thomas H. Buckley starting making lunch wagons. Buckley made different models like the White House Cafe and the Owl.
  • The Great Food Truck Race aired

    The tv show The Great Food Truck Race aired on August 15, 2010. This show was about food trucks traveling around trying to get the most business out of all the competitors.
  • Chicago allows on board cooking

    Chicago, the only state not to allow on board cooking,lifted the ban in 2012. But controversialy the said no food truck could be within 200 feet of a restaurant.
  • World's largest food truck rally

    Tampa, Florida hosted the largest food truck rally on August 31, 2013. They had 99 trucks attending.

    Food trucks became increaseling popular in Durham, North Carolina. Before this time no one had really cared for them.
