The ice cream cone was invented at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904.
An ice cream vendor ran out of paper cups during the fair.
He asked a nearby waffle booth to make thin waffles he could roll up to use for the ice cream.

Dunkin’ Donuts began in 1948 with a donut and coffee restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts called “Open Kettle.”
It was later renamed Dunkin’ Donuts in 1950.
The first franchise opened in 1955.

McDonald's was Founded on April 15, 1955 in San Bernardino, CA.
The original McDonald's focused only on burgers, fries and shakes.
By 1961 the original owners, Brothers Maurice and Richard McDonald, were bought out by Ray Kroc and ran the company himself.

An amendment (Food additive amendment) to the 1938 Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act, establishes a list of chemicals that are "generally regarded as safe." The list makes FDA testing easier and the 700 additives on it become regular ingredients. Any other food additive not on the list needs specific approval by the FDA.

The food safety act was introduced in 1990 which ensures nothing is added or removed from food that could damage the health of consumers. They make sure the product is not treated in a way that could cause harm. It makes sure all food served or sold is of great quality. It makes sure food is never labelled, advertised or presented in a false or misleading way
