    The first earth satellite was called Sputnik 1 was launched on October 4th, 1957, by the Soviet Union.
  • Vostok 1

    Vostok 1
    a few years after the first satellite launched by the soviet Union they launched another spacecraft on April 12, 1961, into orbit but this time with a man Yuri Gagarin in the Vostok 1 spacecraft.
  • Apollo 11

    Apollo 11
    The first man to walk on the moon was Neil Armstrong on July 20, 1969, along with Apollo 11 crew members. Between July 1969 and December 1972, 12 Americans went on the moon.
  • Viking 1 and Viking II

    Viking 1 and Viking II
    The Viking 1 and Viking II were the first probes that had landed successfully on Mars and wan even able to study it. They were launched within a month apart from each other. Viking 1 was launched on August 20th, 1975, and Viking II was launched on September 9, 1975, both launched by America.

    On April 12th, 1981, NASA was able to create a reusable rocket system. It was called a space shuttle. The first flight of this shuttle was called STS-1 (space transportation system 1). This shuttle was created the original rocket systems were very expensive.
  • Galileo

    On December 7th, 1995, Galileo was the first spacecraft to orbit and study Jupiter, its moons and other solar bodies.
  • JUICE explorer

    JUICE explorer
    A probe from a European Agency called JUICE explorer will be exploring 3 moons of Jupiter which are: Ganymede, Calisto and Europa. The probe will have a 7-year journey from 2022. then the Probe will go into the Jupiter system which will take another 4 years before it reaches orbit around Ganymede, by then it will be 2033.
