Declaration of Indepence
The declaration of Independence is a Second Continental congress statement. It was thirteen colonies which were at war with the Great Britain that wanted to be independent and not under Britain rule. With this declaration the new states formed United States of America. This declaration was signed by New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland,North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Delaware. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor is a US navel base located in Hawaii. This base was attacked by Japanese. America had been attacked and hundreds of Japanese planes descended on the base where it caused lots of damage. 20 American vessels, 8 battlefield ships, and 300 airplanes. Over 2400 Americans died in this attack including citizens and about 1000 were wounded. After this attack America declared war against Japan. -
" I have a dream " Martin Luther King Jr.
"I have dream" is a speech given by a American Civil right activist Martin Luther King Jr. This speech was given during a march on Washington. In his speech he called for civil and economic rights. He also called for racism to end in the United States. This speech reached out to nearly 25000 civil right supporters. This became one of the most iconic speeches in the USA.
