The treaty of Versailles is a peace treaty that made Germany pay for the reparations of WW1. Also Germany had to give land back to who ever they took it from. The Dawes plan was the first attempt at a treaty. It tried to take the pressure of Germany to pay all the reparations. It attempted to split them between France and Belgium. The Great Depression was a terrible time for the United States. It affected us both military wise and civilian wise. The food was being take from homes and families to go to our troops fighting wars. Which left many people to die along with the dust from the super dry dirt. All efforts were focused on the military to make sure no one attacked us at our weakest moments. Pearl Harbor was a attack on a naval base by Japan. Japan felt threatened by the United States and their size. So they attacked Pearl Harbor to try and get the upper hand on us.
