Then he started to experiment with coca and coca wines. He was eventually able to make his own version of Vin Mariani. It contained kola nut and damiana. He called it Pemberton’s French Wine Coca. -
Coca-Cola was made
Pemberton was forced to make an alternative to his French Wine Cola. With the help of Willis Venable, Pemberton was able to mix a base syrup with carbonated water and then sold it as a fountain beverage rather than medicine. He called it Coca-Cola. -
Selling rights
After Coca-Cola hit the market Pemberton fell ill and bakrupt. He began to sell rights to his buisness partners in Atlanta. -
Coca-Cola Franchise
Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century. -
