  • Victorian Era

    Victorian Era
    The Victorian era consisted of small waists, ruffles, top hats, and boned/caged corsets and skirts. Men would typically wear tailcoats, waistcoats, tight pants, and boots. Women would wear hats, large poofy skirts, and tight bodices.
  • 1920s

    1920s
    The flapper style was popular in the 1920s among women. It consisted of short, sleeveless dresses and the bob haircut. The pinstripe pattern was also popular. Men typically wore tuxedos, bow ties & ties, leather shoes and waistcoats.
  • 1930s

    1930s
    Men in the 1930s continued to wear suits, jackets and hats. Women would wear long, modest dresses, with puffy shoulders and belts. Plaid and herringbone were popular patterns, and many people wore browns and navy colors.
  • 1960s

    1960s
    In the 1960s, you could find most men wearing polos and turtlenecks. Women would be found in stiletto heels, short skirts, and slender tunics with red lipstick. Brighter colors were getting more and more popular, along with more patterns and bigger buttons.
  • 1970s

    1970s
    During the 1970s, the disco style was at its peak. Both men and women would wear bell bottoms, high waisted pants, large sleeves and many fringed pieces of clothing. Platform shoes were also popular, along with silk materials and tiedye.
  • 1980s

    1980s
    Men would wear lots of denim, and women would wear padded shoulders, leg warmers, and tights. Both genders would wear bright colors and patterns, v-necks, sweaters, blazers and windbreakers.
  • 1990s

    1990s
    During the 90s, men wore overalls, bomber jackets and oversized shirts. Women wore high waisted pants, chokers, and tracksuits. High top sneakers were popular, along with the denim material and baggy jeans. Many people also wore sweaters tied around their waists.
  • 2000s

    2000s
    In the 2000s, men typically wore sports jerseys, large shirts, chunky belts and sweatbands. Women wore low rise jeans, tube tops, chain belts, and bedazzled sunglasses. Graphic tees and baggy jeans were popular among everyone.
  • 2010s

    2010s
    Men wore layered shirts, cardigans and polos, while women wore skinny jeans, ripped jeans and combat boots. Plaid, jean, and checkered patterns were popular, aswell as lots of flannels.
