    CHALLENGES- The trouble of buying a house and being financially ready to begin a new lifestyle

    The expanding stage. Where the couple wants to expand the family and adjust to parenthood.
    REWARDS-being mature enough for children and starting a family
    CHALLENGES- having to soon deal with a child
  • Parental Stage 2

    Parental Stage 2
    Developmental stage. The parents are working to keep up with the growing and changing needs of the child. Helpng the child grow and develop.
    REWARDS- Getting to know the child and being able to help
    CHALLENGES- having the child obey the rules
  • Parental Stage 3

    Parental Stage 3
    Departure Stage: This is where the child gradually starts becoming independent and leaving the home.
    REWARDS- going to get the house to yourself and knowing that you did your best developing your child
    CHALLENGES- the sad feeling of letting your child go and not having to help the child as much as you used to
  • Middle Age

    The "Empty Nest' stage: The couple renews their relationship and prepares for retirement.
    REWARDS- No longer have to care for the child and may no longer have to work
    CHALLENGES- having to adjust not having the child in the home and soon not having to work
  • Retirement

    Retirement
    The couple stops working and gets used to having more free time to themselves.
    REWARDS- no longer having to work and abloe to do whatever and whenever with all the free time
    CHALLENGES- adjusting to it all
