Events that led up to the Revoultion War

  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act mostly hurt the shipping business and it is tax on sugar.
  • Stamp Act

    The Parliament approves another tax law. The Stamp Act put tax on paper items, like newspaper, legal documents, and even playing cards.
  • Townshend Act

    Parliament passed several new tax laws call Townshend Act. The Townshend Acts taxed imports, such as glass, tea, paint, and paper, that were brought into the colonies.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was street fight. A lot of colonists were killed.
  • Repeal of the Townshend Act

    This is when they repealed all of the taxes but not the one on tea. Still most of the colonists would not by the British tea.

    The Parliament passed the tea. The people dumped all the tea into the harbor.

    They had people called the minutmen because they were said to be ready to fight in a minutes notice.

    Colonial leaders called for the second Continental Congress to meet with the Philadelphia.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    This is where they fight on the hill that was much tougher then the British had expected. They were forced back toward the river. The fight was really not on Bunker Hill they got the wong names.
