Both Britian and France swore on defending Poland, so to keep to his word, Chamberlain announced war on Germany three days after Germany invaded Poland. -
The Fall of France
Hitler siezed France piece by piece, and eventually took control of the whole country. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
Japanese launched surprise military attack on Honolulu. Destroyed 20 American vessels and 8 large battleships, and about 200 airplanes. -
U.S. declare war on Japan
Roosevelt announces the U.S.'s declararion of war on Japan, shortly after bombing of Pearl Harbor.
