    Hitler goes into power

    Adolf Hitler goes into power becoming the leader of Germany. His plans for Nazi Germany were unknown at this time.
  • The Munich Agreement

    The Munich Agreement

    Germany, Italy, Brittan, and France sign an agreement. This agreement stated that Nazi Germany had control over Czechoslovakia's border area. During this time a plan for the Holocaust was discovered but no one believed it.
  • Hitler Invades Poland

    Hitler Invades Poland

    Hitler invaded Poland claiming they were persecuting the Germans. This began the start of WWII. This also caused the Treaty of Versailles.
  • Britain and France Declare War on Germany

    Britain and France Declare War on Germany

    In response to the invasion of Poland Britain declared war on Germany. Later that day France also declared war. The first casualties were at sea.
  • Germany begins the deportation of 65,000 Jews

    Germany begins the deportation of 65,000 Jews

    Along with their killing operation they begin to transfer 65,000 Jews from outside of Parish to concentration camps. The primary one being Auschwitz.

    Japanese aircraft went after an American base at Midway. American aircraft were prepared and was able to retaliate. The United States lost only 400 men.

    This was the invasion of Normandy. Allied troops held 156,000 troops on the beach and was able to successfully secure the beach. This lead the allies to begin their win to the war.
  • Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor

    Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor

    Japan bombs American military base in Hawaii killing many Americans. The base was taken by surprise and nearly 200 attack planes were in the sky on Honolulu that morning. During the attack only 6 American planes were able to get into the sky.

    America joins WWII

    After the attack on American soil we entered WWII. Only one vote was against joining the war. They joined with Britain and France against the Axis powers.

    To cover up what they were doing to the innocent people the Germans took approximately hundreds of thousands of people on the death marches. Around 250,00 people were killed due to being shot, starved, exhausted, or the elements.

    Auschwitz was liberated

    Soldiers moved into the camp seeing unknown things. The stories of what had happened here were unknown at this time. Soldiers found belongings to thousands of people.

    Hitler commits suicide

    After the downfall of the war and the Holocaust being discovered Hitler took his own life. He took a cyanide pill and used a gun while hiding in his bunker. He also gave pills to his wife and dogs.
  • Germany surrenders

    Germany surrenders

    After the Allied forces captured Berlin which was the capital of Germany. This was due to the allies success of the war and Hitler's death they had to surrender. It was officially announced everywhere on the 8th.
  • Hiroshima

    Hiroshima

    An American B-29 Bomber dropped the worlds first deployed atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This is a large city in Japan and killed nearly 80,000 people. Many more thousands of people were effected by the blasts.
  • World War 2 is officially over

    World War 2 is officially over

    Japan was the last to surrender which lead to the end of the war. This only happened after America had dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. Allies had officially ended the war.
