    Adolf Hitler Comes To Power
    Adolf Hitler is named the Chancellor of Germany with almost unlimited power. Reason: This makes the beginning of Germany becoming a superior force. After being weakened by the Treaty of Versailles, Germany begins to exit from it's Great Depression. The Germans began to ignore the terms of the Treaty of Versailles.

    War Propaganda promotes the war efforts, encouraging people to ration and help the efforts. Reason: Propaganda posters encouraged citizens to join the war effort and support their country. This is another example of patriotism during WWII. Poster Example

    German immigrants were called back to Germany to fight in the war. Reason: Although some Germans immigrated or were foreign born, Germany called them back to Germany to fight against the Allied forces.     Fall of France
    German forces invade France in May of 1940. In July of 1940, France fell to Germany. The Germans split France into two, creating the puppet state known as Vichy France. Reason: Germany's superiority is becoming more apparent to the world. This put the German's in the lead, weakening France.

    Dunkirk
    British Civilians help evacuate soldiers of the beach in Dunkirk, using their boats. Saving over 338,000 Belgian and British soldiers. Reason: The civilians loyalty to their country is proven when they risked their lives to rescue the shoulders. Hitler believed that that attack on Dunkirk would cause the British to leave the war. He held off on a final assault, and it backfired on him.

    The United States Begins Rationing
    Rationing encouraged Americans to save certain goods for the army, and reduce the amount of consumption. Reason: Americans gave us or reduced the amount of goods they purchased. Materials such as rubber were reused to assist the bombers. This show how much the Americans wanted to support their soldiers and war efforts.

    Attack on Pearl Harbor
    The Japanese attack Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, taking the United States by surprise. Reason: Japanese pilots willingly crashed their planes to increase the damaged inflicted on Pearl Harbor. Their actions show their loyalty and patriotism to their country. Later on, the United States declared war on Japan.
  • Bataan Death March

    Bataan Death March
    After the Japanese captured the Philippines, 75,000 Filipino and American soldiers became POWS. The Japanese forced them to match 65 miles to prison camps. Around 10,000 POWS died during the Bataan Death March. Reason: Despite being captured and forcing to walk through scorching temperature. When the POWS arrived at the camp, the Japanese remained loyal to the International Prisoner of War Law. POWS also were taught not to trust the enemy, and to deny the Japanese any crucial intel.

    The U.S invasion of Normany begins, also known as D-Day. Reason: D-Day was the United States first offensive in Normandy. On the beaches for Normandy, the American troops suffered heavy casualties but continued to fight. In result, they secured the beach and pushed forward.

    Germany Surrenders
    The Germans officially surrender to the Allied Powers, ending the conflict in Europe. Reason: One of the two listed events that prove that Allied Force's superiority in WWII. The war ended in Europe, and the war was one step closer to ending.

    The United States dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Reason: The Atomic Bombs show the United State's superiority and advances in technology. Afterwards, the Japanese announced their surrender. Aftermatch

    The Japanese announced their surrender on August 15. They officially surrendered on September 2, 1945. Reason: The Second event listed that proves the Allied forces superiority in WWII. The Allied Forces despite losing France and suffering heavy casualties, they never gave up. In result, the Allied powers won the war.
