    Spark-Lexington and Concord
    It all started when Thomas Gage was ordered by England to arrest Samul Adams and John Hancock and sent 800 soldiers to arrest them. Paul Revere warned the colonists at Lexington and Concord and when they came, they were ready and war broke out. 274 soldiers died and 88 colonists died in this war.     The Battle of Bunker Hill was the first big battle of the Amercian Revolution. In this war, it warned the British how strong the colonists were and the American colonists lost an important man, Dr. Warren. 226 British troops had been killed and 828 wounded and 145 killed and 304 wounded for the American colonists.     Turning Point- 1st Saratoga
    On this day, Gen. John Burgoyne led his troops to Albany but on the way there, they met the Americans there. They fought there and this was called The Battle of Freeman Farm.     Turning Point-  2nd Saratoga
    When Gen. Burgoyne reached where Gen. Benedict Arnold's army was, Arnold's army was ready. By the end of the day in the war, the British had 5,000 men left out of 10,000 and left with very few supplies. On the next day, they were about to retreat General Gates came with 20,000 soldiers and surrounded them at Saratoga. It was the turning point because it made them agrre to return to Great Britain and for them to not go back until the American Revolution finished.

    Valley Forge served as the the headquarters for the Continental Army in the winter of 1777-1778. It was placed there because it was between where the British was and where the Continental Congress. It was the low point because lots of soldiers died because they did not have proper clothes and 2,000 were deserted.     Cornwallis first went and brought his 7,500 other troops Yorktown so he will habe better communitcation with the General. The Americans and Indians joined forces and surrounded the British with 14,000 troops. Running low on supplies, the British army surrendered and gave America it's freedom.     The Treaty of Paris was a document that was signed on September 3, 1783. It was signed by the British to give America there independence and Britain signed peace treaties with France and Spain. Even after Britain signed the Treaty of Paris, American feared they might come again and fight, so they started an alliance with the French to secure their independence.
