The Holocaust era started in January 1933 when Adolf Hitler rose to power. -
Nuremberg Laws
These anti-Jewish laws is basically the jim crow laws of the Holocaust. There were two laws that took away citizenship and banned inter racial marriages between anybody of Jewish kind. -
Jewish Children are Banned From Public Schools
This probably isnt one of the more major things. This is one of the things that set the Jewish apart from this point, they weren't getting the same education, making them look "barbarian." -
One of the First Mass Killings
The day after the Soviet invasion begins four shooting squads "Einsatzgruppen" start the shooting. At first only jewish men were targeted, soon it would kill children and women too. Overall, this would kill over 10,000 Jews. -
The most people killed in a concentration camp recorded
Auschwitz was one of the cruelest and hardest concentration camps of that era. Overall it killed over 1 million Jews. On July 16 they killed a total of 600,000 of that week. -
Liquidation
As a result of the uprising that took place on September 1, the Germans launch a liquidation of the ghetto. Causing more uprisings and escape attempts, because of the low chance of surviving in these camps. -
Death March
Germany abandoned Auschwitz taking all the Jews on a forced march, those that couldn't keep up are killed. Many marches are done, many of which the guards torture, kill and do in unlivable conditions. -
Adolf and Eva Braun kill themselves
Once the war was going downhill, Adolf and his wife were in a bunker. After he wrote his personal and political will, Eva takes a cyanide pill. Hitler, dressed in a new Nazi uniform, also kills himself. Later, the bodies were burned to prior instructions. -
Soviet surrenders to the Allies
On May 7, the German High Command surrendered unconditionally, making the Nazi Germany's war end. -
Nuremburg Trials
judges from the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and France put 22 main Nazis on trial in Nuremberg for crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
