    What: The first state to abolish slavery in america. A free state that slaves could escape to and be seen equal to everyone else.

    Where: Pennsylvania
    Importance: A leadng example to the rest of america that slavery isnt acceptable and everyone should be seen equal.
    Conflict or Compromise: Conflict becase many states saw this as a huge threat to keeping slavery legal.

    What: A machine to separate the cotton from the seeds. It also made the process alot faster.

    Importance: Made production alot faster, and allowed production to be alot faster.
    Conflict or Compromise: Compromise because it made work for slaves easier and less strenous.

    What Thomas Jefferson stoped trade with all countries trying to stop Great Britian from restricting trade. It back fired and was gotten rid of in 1809.

    What: Largest slave rebellion in the South killing anywhere from 55 to 65 people.

    Importance: Gave other slaves the idea that it was possible to overthrow their owner and escape the plantations.
    Conflict or Compromise: Conflict because it sturred up slaves and started a slave rebellion.
