Events leading to World War II

  • Treaty of Versaille

    End of World War 1. This treaty is so severe it led to the rise of Hitler and resentment to the rest of Europe. The Treaty of Versailles is signed, ending World War I. 414 of the 440 clauses of the Treaty punished Germany. Provisions included reparation payments, military restrictions, and a war-guilty clause that forced Germany to take responsibilty for World War 1.
  • Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany

    Hitler became Chancellor of Germany by president Paul Von Hinedenburg, and the point was made in an effort to keep Hitler and Nazis Party "in check"; however, it would have disastrous results for Germany and the entire Eurpoean continent. (Adolf Hitler loses German presidential election, Nazis become a controlling party in the German Parliament.)
  • Japans invades China/Rape of Nanking

    Having already seized and annexed China's Manchurian region (1931) and Jehol province (1933), the Japanese were waiting for a pretext to invade and occupy the whole of China. That pretext came in July 1937, when tensions between Chinese troops and Japanese troops engaged in military exercises on occupied Chines territory produced an exchanged of firing near Peking (now Beijing). The Japanese used this incident as an excused to wage all out war against China.

    Germany invades Poland to start World War II.
  • Tripartite Pact/Japan allies with Germany, Italy

    Japan joins forces with Germany, Italy so they all can make new ideas for WW1.
  • Pearl Harbor attacked by Japan; U.S. enters World War II

    The Pearl Harbor attacked Japan, they chose this event because it was first thing that started US Involvement in World War II. Also because it made more friction between the United States and the Japanese, also because it showed good battle tactics by the Japanese, and good reaction from the Untied States. The main reason they chose this event was because they like the stories was and feuds between countries bing.
