  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation stated that no colonists were able to move west of the Appalachian Mountains. Then, the colonists decided to still move west despite of what the Proclamation said.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The colonists would smuggle foreign-made molasses into other colonies. So, the Sugar Act was created, which stated that duty would be charged on foreign-made molasses. The colonists payed no mind to the Sugar Act and still continued to smuggle molasses.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was made to charge colonist's duty on their legal documents, license, newspaper, pamphlet, and almanac. Then they also made a special charge for their cards and dice. On each item they were required to purchase special stamps.So, the Sons of Liberty were created and they started to harass the government.The Stamp Act Congress met in New York to state that Parliament didn't have the power to impose taxes on the colonies due to the colonists not being represented in Parliament.

    The Boston Massacre started on March 5, 1770. It started off with the citizens fist fighting over jobs. The founder of The Sons of Liberty decided to name this event "Boston Massacre" because the British attacked on defenseless citizens.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Tea Act was issued to help struggling English Tea Companies. In an event called the Boston Tea Party, the "Indians" dumped pounds of East India Company's tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • Intolerable Acts

    After the Boston Tea Party, the Intolerable Acts were created stating to shut down the Boston Harbor.The Quartering Act was created to authorize the British to house commanders in vacant private homes. Thomas Gage, the governor, put Boston under the martial law.The colonists created the First Continental Congress.The delegates created a declaration of colonial rights. The delegates supported the protests occurring in Massachusetts stating,if British used force against the colonies to fight back.
  • Battle of Bunker

    This battle is where the British fought against the Americans and the British lose. This is a big victory for the Americans.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    In this battle the General Gage sent troops to Concord to get rid of illegal weapons and "nip the revolution". This caused Paul Revere to go around the countryside and spread the word that the redcoats are marching on Concord.
