The Sugar Act was a rule that taxed the colonies on foreign-made molasses. Which angered the merchants, with them saying that it would reduce their profits. It started the argument about whether Britain should be taxing them when they had no one to represent in parliament. This also increased colonist's concerns about the British parliament. Which helped start the movement to the American Revolution.

The Stamp Act taxed all paper in the colonies. This angered businesses that used paper, which would lose millions from this. This led to a newspaper company writing a page about it one month before it was about to be in effect. This caused people to be angered even more and didn't want to be taxed without representation. People also started to boycott agreements. This caused it to be repealed but caused the Declaratory Act, which allowed the British parliament to do whatever they wanted.

Townshend Acts were a series of taxes on glass, lead, paint, and paper. This was to assert British authority and to raise revenue for royal judges and governors. This led to even more boycotts and the Massachusetts circular letter. The act was eventually repealed after the boycotting that happened within the colonies. Drifting the colonies and Britain apart and leading to the American Revolution.

The massacre happened when colonists attacked a Loyalist store. In order to protest the Townshend Act and the Stamp Act. A customs officer who happened to live nearby saw this happen and decided to shoot at the crowd to break them up. The gunfire ended up hitting and killing an eleven-year-old boy. This ended up enraging the colonists even more and 7 days later a full-blown fight happened when a British soldier fired a shot at the colonists. Which caused full anti-British views from the colonist

The Tea Act allowed the British East India Company to have a monopoly on tea sales in the colonies. This led colonists to dress up as Native Americans go on to Boston ships, and destroy 92,000 pounds of tea. Also known as the Boston Tea Party. The Tea Act was basically the final straw for the colonists for the policies created by Britain. Causing them to be angry and resent Britain even more for allowing the British East India Company to have a monopoly on tea.

The Intolerable Acts were 4 laws put in place to punish the colonies for the Boston Tea Party. These acts blockaded the Boston Harbor, the royal governor got to choose who was placed in charge of the law, etc. These acts were met with strong colonial resistance and caused the meeting of the first Continental Congress. Which had 12 of the 13 colonies discussing boycotting British goods, and establishing the rights of America.

The fighting at Lexington and Concord happened when British soldiers went to Concord to seize weapons when threatened with rebellion. When spies heard of this plan riders went to alarm people that the British were coming. Americans then went to confront them. No one knows who shot first but it led to eight years of fighting to separate the colonies from Britain. It was the start and first battle of the American Revolution.
