    The U.S. could deliver soilders and supplies to the hard-pressed opponetes of Hitler. If the Alantic wans't safe for shipping the Axis would win the war. Germany intered WW 2 with a strong navy! WIth new ships: Bismarch- pride of the German fleet. In WW 2 the british didnt have enough vessels, which made it easy for u-boats to attack supply ships headed to Britian.     The Luftwaffe had many disadvantages: being untrianed, unequpied and unprepared for long range operations. RAF enjoyed the adantage of defending against the attacks launched from widley seperated airfeilds therefore profiting from what stragitist called "interior lines".

    Germany and Italy and Britian fought in this battle. In order to stop the advancment of Germany-Italy forces into Egypt and Britian attacked. if the Axis powers took over parts of Egypt it would affect Britain trade. This battle took place in El Alamein, Egypt and ended on Nov. 5, 1942

    Battle of Stalingrad
    Germans attacked Stalingrad in August of 1942. This was some of the bloodiest fighinting in warfare, the Soviets refused to let the city fall. Gremans failed at taking the city but also exposed themselves to a Soviet counter attack. 250,000 Axis soilders were trapped by Soviet FOrces the surviving were forced to surreneder. This marked the beginning of Germanys collapse in the Soviet Union. They then pushed Germany's troops back into Germany. Hitlers forces suffered a lose of 2 mill. & Soviet 12

    Operation Torch
    This was a British-American invasion of FrenchNorth Africa, this attack would clear the Axis Powers of North Africa. It would also improve the control of the Mediteranean Sea. The Allies orginized three task forces to capture the key ports and airports of Morocco and Algeria, where they would advance into Tunisia. Which was an Allied Victory.

    In the battle the Allies captured Sicily from the Axis Powers on July 9, 1943. Two Amry groups would land with one landing on the South Easternand one on the Cetral Southern Coast. General Dwight Eienhouer was in charge of this invasion. This was an air battle, water battle and land.

    The Allies would successfully invade the GErman occupied western Europe. Neearly 160,000troops crossed the English Channel on the 6th of June and more than 3 million allied troops were in France by the end of August.

    Adolf Hitler commited suicide after he had realized that all hope for his plans and his dreams for his country had been lost in the battle. Hitler killed himself in his bunker in Berlin by shooting himself. It was believed that both him and his wife swallowed cyanide capsules.

    V-E Day
    The Steady destructuion of German resistance continued in the final weeks of April. Soviet Union met up with allied forces and at the same time Berlin was under heavy bombardment.. On April 30th Hitler knew it was over and comitted suicide in his Berlin Bunker. Berlin Surrendered on May 2. Karl Donitz took over as Germany's leader after Hitler's death and agreed at surrender on May 7,and May 8th was declared Victory in Europe Day.

    Battle of the Buldge
    Germany invaded Belgiumthrough Adrennes. Hitler intended on spliting the Allied forces with a surprise blitzkreig. Germany began to dive deeper into the the Adennes causing a bulge in the Allies line. Germans suffered more than100,000 deaths and the battle ended on Jan. 25, 1945. On Dec. 26 Lieutenant George S Patton arrived to provide relief for the American force.
