    The Battle of the Atlantic
    Germany and Italy fought against the Allies. It was the war’s longest continuous military campaign which lasted six years. It pitted German warships and aircraft against the Royal Navy, the Royal Canadian Royal Navy and Allied merchant ships . It lasted from Septermber 3, 1939 to May 8, 1945. Took place in the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Irish Sea, Labrador Sea, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Carribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Outer Banks and Arctic Ocean.

    The "Wolf Pack" was a German tactic that called for a formation of a group of ships to sail together as a group and under the protection of escort warships. The United Kingdom was dependent on the seas for its survival and Germany knew that. Germany then decided to raid Allied commerce shipping.

It was a major WWII battle in which Nazi Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. The battle lasted from August 23, 1942 to February 2, 1943. Took place in Stalingrad, Russia.

    Battle of El Alamein, Egypt
    Germany and Itlay faced Britain, India, Australia, New Zealand, Union of South Africa, Free French Forces and the Kingdom of Greece. It followed the first Battle of El Alamein and was the first major offensive against the Axis since the start of the European war in 1939. It lasted from October 23, 1942 to November 11, 1942. It took place near the Egyptian railway halt of El Alamein. Rommel decided to strike the Allies while their build-up was incomplete.

It took place in French Morocco and French Algeria. The Axis Powers wanted to attack French North Africa to improve naval control in the Mediterranean Sea and prepare for an invasion of Southern Europe.

It was a major WWII campaign, in which the allies took Sicily from the Axis Powers. It took place in Sicily, Italy. the Allies wanted to attack Italy to gain more control of the Mediterranean and divert the Germans.

It was a major German offensive campaign launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg on the Western Front toward the end of World War II. After the breakout from Normandy and the landings in southern France he Allies advanced toward Germany.

    Adolf Hitler commited suicide by gunshot on April 30, 1945 in his Führerbunker in Berlin. His wife Eva also committed suicide by taking cyanide. Germany's army was on the verge of collapse.

    The act of Military Surrender was signed May 8, 1945. It marks the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces. European Allied nations and territories involved in World War II were present. It was signed in Reims, France after Adolf Hitler committed suicide and his successor authorized it.
