This was a battle between America and the Britain and Germany Air Force, it was the first battle ever to be held only in the air, it took place in the United Kingdom, the Brits ended up winning. This happened because Hitler wanted to take control over Great Britian, however they turned out more strong than he thought, due to America lending them supplies, which started the Lend-lease movement.

When Hitler broke the Germ-Soviet Non-Aggression act in hopes for him to take agricultural land, many oil fields and remove the military threat of Stalin’s Soviet Union. He gained much land and diminished Stalin’s union, but he didn’t defeat them, they moved east and adopted the scorched earth policy, where when they leave/pass they burn everything.

When the first American troops entered the European war they started in French Morocco, they pushed the axis powers east while the Brits pushed the west, by 1943 Africa was free of them. The US then worked with Britain again to bomb Germany, during the day we’d bomb the ball-bearing factories, rail yards, oil fields and manufacturing centers, during nighttime the British would bomb the cities, and while Germany fought back, and inflicted damage, the allied powers won overall.

It was an attempt to free Northwest Europe from the Nazi’s reign of power. It took place in the water and on five beaches of Normandy, there was air forces used to parachute more troops into northern France, the beaches Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword, were all occupied with Allied forces and by the end of the day they were ready to further advance into France. The allied forces won, putting stress on Germany’s resources, it was evident that Germany wasn’t going to win the war by this point.

This conference had the heads of government from the United States, United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union, it took place in the Livadia Palace, near Yalta, which might be the reasoning for the name. The yalta conference was held to reorganize/reestablish the nations of Post-War Europe. A coming together to make a game plan on how to move forward.
