    European Renaissance

    European Renaissance
    The re-birth of arts, culture and the whole basic concept of life in Europe. At this time the world gained many advances in science, math, we also learned more about astronomy and art was at its best. Without the Renaissance we would not have been this well developed and have the modern culture of today. Also during this time period the Bubonic plague was introduced and spreads around the world affecting multiple populations. (14th to 17th century)

    Columbian Exchange
    The Columbian Exchange refers to the transfer of animals, plants, culture, human populations, diseases, technology and ideas between the Afro-Eurasian and Ameriacn areas. This began when Christopher Columbus discovered the New World. During this time the Atlantic Slave Trade began its wide range of trade and misery.(15th to 16th century)

    Protestant Reformation

    Protestant Reformation
    This was the division between Christianity and Protestant Reformers. It began by criticizing the selling of indulgences, insisting that the Pope had no authority over purgatory and that the Catholic doctrine of the merits of the saints had no foundation in the gospel. The attacks widened to cover many of the doctrines and devotional Catholic practices. This began several reformations all around the world. these led to the 30 years war and radical reformation.(1517 to 1648)
  • Industrial Revolution

    Industrial Revolution
    It marks a major turning point in history; almost everything of daily life was influenced in some way. In particular, income and population began to show unprecedented sustained growth. There was also a standard of living for the general population and began to increase consistently for the first time in history.(1750-1890)
  • American Independence

    United States declares independence from Britian. This was the breaking point of the British governement as it settled down to Britian and Canada. Due to Americas success several other revolutions stirred and the French revolution began.

    Napoleon defeat at Waterloo:
    Napoleon was the emperor of the powerful French empire. He expanded his empire as many empires were falling. The defeat at Waterloo brought an end to the turmoil in Western Europe.
  • End of World War I

    End of World War I
    World War I was the conflict between Austrio-Hungarians and their allies plus other powers. The " War to end all wars " ended with the Central Powers' surrender leading to global prosperity. However, it lead to the development of World War II in Germany.

    World War II is the most famous war in the entire world and its end led to long time peace. Nazi Germany ravaged from France to the Soviet Union. Their defeat was accomplished by the unifiaction of multiple countries bound together to end the geneoicide, the leading cause to the formation of the United Nations

    Dissolution of USSR
    Cold War between US and USSR end with USSR dissolution in 1991. The USSR splits into many smaller countries. Many eastern countries continue to split today such as Ukraine or Yugoslavia.

  • Prehistoric Europe

    Prehistoric Europe
    The beginning of Europe was during the Paleolithic Era. Since Homo sapiens started in Africa Europe became this first region to become populated and led to the adoption of agriculture into the Neolithic era. Which leads to the beginning and development of the world that we know of today. (7000 B.C.)
