Ernest began writing for fun at 15 years old. He was popular in school and liked my the ladies. They labeled him as clever. Instead of college he went to Kansas and Chicago to write for a newspaper.

Ernest went to war working in the Red Cross amubulance corps and was injured. He met Agnes in recovery. She was 8 years older him and eventually ended their relationship because of the age difference.

Hadley was 8 years older than Ernest. They moved to Paris. She encouraged and supported his writing. Hadley also influenced his style of writing.

Hadley made a surprise visit to see Hemingway and brought all of his mauscripts and copies. She accidently lost everything on the train ride there.

John Hadley Nicanor was born from Hadley and Ernest.

Gertrude Stein was a fellow writer and artist. He was influenced by her style and ideas but eventually the realtionship fell out and they began firing at eachother through their writing.

Pauline was a friend of Hadley's. Ernest and Pauline had an affair but when Hadley found out, she had filed for divorce to let the two be together. She was finished with the relationship also. During their marriage he became very passionate about fishing and also interested in boxing and bull fighting,

Gregory Hancock Hemingway was the second son of Pauline and Ernest.

After divorcing Pauline, Ernest married Martha. It didn't last lomng because he wasn't used to someone not catering and supporting him in everything. She was a writer also and didn't feel the need to while doing her own work.

Ernest married Mary. She was willing and wanting to cater to Hemingway's every need. He was flattered and very attracted to this aspect.

The relationship with the young girl helped improve his writing. His affair with the girl gave him the inspiration he needed to make one of his best pieces of work.
