    After the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Austria-Hungary decides to declare war with Serbia. Shortly after this declaration Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia all began to fight back. Many countries became involved due to the Allied and Axis powers. If one country is under attack it means that all of the countries aids must help attack as well.

One of the main events that led the United States into the war was because Germany attacked a passanger ship, the Luistania, and killed many Americans on the ship. Another reason which helped push America into the war was when America intercepted the Zimmerman Note.These are just some of the many reasons of why the United States had entered the war.

    The Treaty of Versailles was signed in order to keep peace between all countries and end the war between the Allied Powers and Germany. The treaty also made the decision that it was Germany's responsibility to pay for all war debts. The treaty was hard to finalize because there was so much debate of what should be included and what should excluded.

    One of the biggest contributers to the Great Depression was the big stock market crash of 1929. The stocks crash lost about 11% of its opening value. With the stock markets crash many banks failed and millions of Americans lost their jobs.

Farmers lost their jobs with the arrival of the dustbowl, many people got laid off due to cut backs in order to save money, and other people who owned companies had to close due to low income.
