The slaves were not even allowed to go near anything educational. There were rules and they were to be followed or there were consequences.

It was uncommon for people to understand why school should be paid for by everyone and that by doing so it would benefit society. They just saw it as a negative situation where they did not want to pay for other children or those of the poor. This was the start of the school system we have today that is provided by the taxes .

    HoraceHorace Mann was the founder of the idea that education should be free for all. He thought that elementary education should be acessible to all kids and should be paid by the tax payers. He went around town making sure all schools were good and stable.

It was for school after elementary school. The students were not graduating as much at the beginning but later improved.

It helped teachers see that students are still immature to contain adult like instruction and that we should get at their level too.

    At the end of the war, there was a a lot of families being created and so that meant more teachers were needed.

This also said that schools were not to segregate the facilities based on color. This was a very important movement where it led to a stronger civil rights movement and to creating the 14th ammendment.

    This was very important to education because it allowed funding to be created for may needed students. It also created grants and scholarships for students to be able to complete school. It also provided grants for schools to receive funding to have a good school experience.

    This was strengthen when the Brown vs Board was succesful. It helped create equality for all in school and in work. It was received with confrontation an disagreement by those not wanting to mix with blacks. It was not fully enforced but it was still an act that resulted in an ammendment.

This is still a very hot topic today because some students that are in other countries are learning material that does not get taught here in higher levels. We are still seeing this today and was one of the reasons that the NCLB was created. This affects the way we teach students and what they should be learning to not be behind.

    This helped establish that students with handicap disabilities were to receive an education as well. I think that this is very important because every one deserves equality in life. This includes school and other aspects of life. School is important for them as well because it allows them to socialize with others and to create a safe environment where they can learn. They can also become a productive.

    SchoolsThis was to create vouchers to help students who did not want to attend regular school and was given other choices. They had a choice of going to charter schools if they wished. There was funding provided to create charter schools throughout the U.S.

It created tests that were to evaluate how students were learning or what they had learned throughout the year. This was so that the school would know what is missing or what they can do right based on a common test.

    This was an act that passed a couple of years ago to go along with the standardized testing. It provided standardized test and also a common core to which students had to complete at the end of the year. When students would not achieve the scores that the school needed then they were provided assistance. I think this could be a good or bad thing that just depends on teachers and how they teach and how their students learn
