Son Sigurd Russell born

In a tent in Des Moines, IA. hortly after his birth, Sigurd's parents separated and he was taken to Paris where he grew up and was educated at Sorbonne University. In 1910 he taught languages at the University of Hawaii. By 1911 he had opened an art gallery in Los Angeles. Disabled during WWI, he returned to Los Angeles, opened the Potboiler Art Center in 1922, and taught at Los Angeles High School. A writer, lecturer, actor, and world traveler, Russell died in Los Angeles on Aug. 4, 1946.
