    The Germans and Soviets agreed to not take any military action against each other for the next 10 years. Hitler used the pact as a way to invade Poland and Stalin used it as time to build up his military. The pact ended in June of 1941 when Hitler invaded the Soviet union.

The invasion covered from the North Cape to the Black Sea which was about two thousand miles. Germany was very strong going into the battle but ended up getting defeated by the cold Russian winter. The troops had no winter clothes that could keep them alive to keep fighting.
