  • Massacre at Mystic

    The Puritans and Pequot have been experiencing many conflicts that lead them into fights after fights until the end.
  • The Scalp Act

    The Scalp Act is the act of paying anyone (who is above the age of 12) for 150 pieces of eight for bringing in a male scalp.
  • The 3/5ths Compromise

    This was to ensure the southern slave states enter the union created by the U.S. constitution. They cannot join a political entity that limits slavery.
  • Slave Trade Ends in the United States

    U.S. Congress passes the act of prohibiting slaves within the jurisdiction of the U.S.
  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    The victory of William Harrison's army against Laulewasikau's army of Shawnee Indians. This all took place at Prophetstown (the capital of Tippecanoe River).
  • The Missouri Compromise

    A law that tried to address tensions over slavery. Missouri allowed slavery, and Maine as a free state.
  • Indian Removal Act

    The Indian Removal Act allows the president to claim lands of the Mississippi for the exchange of Indian lands.
  • Nat Turner Rebellion

    He was an enslaved man that had a rebellion of other slaves, and has killed up to 200 black people, and caused oppressive legislation.
  • Trail of Tears

    This is part of the Indian removal, in which the Cherokee are forced to migrate to another area away from the Mississippi River.
  • The Fugitive Slave Act

    This was the act of returning slaves to their original owners, especially when they are in a free state.
  • Dred Scott Decision

    The Dred Scott Decision was the decision to not allow African/American citizens to sue in federal court and be free from a free state.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    President Abraham Lincoln has issued the proclamation that declared that "all persons held as slaves will be free".
  • 13th Amendment

    This was made after the Civil War, and it states "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
  • 14th Amendment

    When this amendment was created, it meant that no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.
  • 15th Amendment

    The 15th Amendment was created to grant African American men the right to vote.
  • Battle of Little Bighorn

    This fight took place at the Little Bighorn River in Montana Territory. George Armstrong and his troops fought against the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne warriors, but that eventually lead to his forces being outnumbered.
  • Battle of Wounded Knee

    Over about 150 to 300 Lakota Indians got killed from the U.S. Army in Wounded Knee Creek.
  • Plessy vs. Ferguson

    This is a decision the Supreme Court had to decide on which person made the clear statement, and in the end, Ferguson won because the Supreme Court agreed with his statement to upheld a Louisiana state law that allowed for "equal but separate accommodations for the white and colored races."
