    In the fall of 1968, Mills first came to TCU to attend Brite Divinity School.

    In 1969, the dean of the Brite Divinity school gave Mills his first job at TCU working in Student Activities. The dean told Mills that he was "saving himself and the church" by working there.

  • Frog Camp is Created

    Frog Camp is Created
    Frog Camp was created in 1994 after Barbara Herman went to Mills and other administration with the idea. Mills and other officials agreed to help make this idea a reality. The photograph was taken from the first group of students to ever attend Frog Camp. Fun Fact: The new Vice Chancellor, Kathy Cavins-Tull, attended Frog Camp in London as her first order of business at TCU.

  • Career Services Redesigned

    Career Services Redesigned
    Mills and other administration in Student Affairs created an executive director position within the career services department that Mills told the TCU Daily Skiff "will reorganize and redirect the department." Career Services is now a large department on campus and recruits businesses from all over for each career fair.
  • "Frog Bucks" Idea is Prodced

    "Frog Bucks" Idea is Prodced
    The idea of "Frog Bucks" was created during this time and the Daily Skiff ran an article about how Chancellor Boshini and Vice Chancellor Don Mills were working with local restaurants so that students could use their student IDs off campus to buy food. Today, there is a wide variety and long list of restaurants that accept Frog Bucks and the list keeps growing each semester.

    TCU Campus Commons and BLUU Rennovations
    On October 1st of 2008, the new Campus Commons, which included the Brown-Lupton University Union (BLUU) and four new residence halls appeared almost complete. Mills helped to design this plan, along with the rennovation of Scharbauer Hall on site of the old Brown-Lupton Student Center on the east end of the commons.

    Community Renewal U
    Mack McCarter and Don Mills were friends since their days as students at Brite Divinity School and created Community Renewal U on TCU's campus. Community Renewal is supposed to be a framework for a positive outlook on life. It's not a specific action, it is about caring about other people and the things around you. Community Renewal started in the halls of Brachman residence hall and is continuing to spread throughout campus.

    Mills Retires as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
    This was the last official day for Mills as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. The next day (June 1st) also marked his first official day as a Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership for the College of Education.
