    Magna Carta

    The Magan Carta was official when it obtained the seal of the King. It was created by a group of Barons who opposed the feudal system and parts of it were later used in the constitution.
  • Mayflower Compact

    Mayflower Compact
    The first settlers in America were British they were on a ship called the Mayflower basically they all agreed to comply with their government’s laws and in return they would all protect one another making it in essence a social contract. The Mayflower Compact was signed on November 11, 1620
  • Petition of Right- 1628

    This doc, signed by Charles the 1st, limited the king's power in several ways. Most importantly, the doc demanded that the king NO LONGER IMPRISON or otherwise punish any person BUT by the lawful judgement of their peers, or by the law of the land.
  • Engish Bill of Rights

    The English Bill of Rights limited the power of the English sovereign and was written as on act of Parliament. The king and queen had to agree to limitations. William and Mary agreed to the limitations.
