Los Rakas
Famed Oakland rap duo Los Rakas are performing at USF, courtesty of the Esther Madriz Activist Scholars, a sociology program that studies through modern social issues, specifically hip hop. USF Garden Community Dinner
A totally organic, local, vegetairan and mostly vegan dinner made from food grown with love in the USF community garden. This montly dinner takes place every first Thursday just a few blocks off campus, at St. Ciprian's church on Turk and Lyon. What little food is not grown in the garden is gleaned from local famer's markets and bought from organic grocers like Rainbow and Haight Street Market. Truly a beautiful collaboration-- meeting a new community who welcomes you with open arms.
